Poco F4 GT with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 12GB RAM Shows up on Geekbench, Launch Seems Evident

Poco is gearing up to launch its new F-series smartphone. The company has confirmed that it will launch the Poco F4 GT on April 26 in global markets. The upcoming Poco smartphone will be a premium offering, replacing the F3 GT. We can expect the F4 GT to arrive soon in India. There is currently no official word on the India launch yet. While we wait for that, the global device is listed on Geekbench.

The Poco F4 GT listing confirms some key performance unit details. It will draw power from Qualcomm’s flagship mobile platform. Let’s take a look at the Poco F4 GT specifications, features and other details leaked so far.

Poco F4 GT Geekbench

Poco F4 GT will make its global debut on April 26. Ahead of the official launch, the device has been spotted on Geekbench. It has the model number 21121210G. The listing reveals that the phone draws power from an SoC codenamed taro, which is essentially the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The chipset has a peak clock speed of 3.0GHz. It is paired with an Adreno 730 GPU for graphics. The phone’s variant listed on Geekbench has 12GB of RAM. We can expect Poco to launch the phone with 8GB of RAM as well. The device will come with up to 256GB of internal storage.

The Geekbench listing further reveals that the phone scored 1235 and 3555 in single-core and multi-core tests. It runs Android 12 out of the box and will have a layer of MIUI 13 for Poco on top.

Other details of the device have not been revealed on Geekbench. However, it is rumoured to launch as a rebadged Redmi K50 Gaming from China. In that case, the phone will come with a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate support. There will be a triple-camera setup on the back with a 64MP main camera sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, the phone will feature a 20MP Sony IMX596 sensor.

In terms of battery, the device will pack a 4500 mAh cell with support for 120W fast charging.
