POCO F5 5G India Variant’s RAM, Storage, Colour Options Officially Revealed Ahead of May 9 Launch

POCO is gearing up for the launch of the F5 series. The company will launch the F5 5G as its flagship smartphone in India on May 9. The F5 Pro, which is set to launch on the same day in Europe, will not be available in India. POCO has confirmed some key details about the F5 5G’s specifications and features. The company, at the time of the launch, revealed that the POCO F5 5G will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC. The new Qualcomm SoC is said to be nearly as powerful as the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

Now, POCO India Country Head Himansu Tandon, during an interaction with influencer Rajiv Makhni, revealed more details about the F5 5G. Tandon has confirmed the RAM, storage, colour options and some other details about the F5 5G. Let’s take a look at the POCO F5 specifications, features and other details known so far.

POCO F5 5G: Specifications and Features Revealed

POCO F5 5G will be a premium smartphone from the company in India. The smartphone will launch on May 9 and go on sale via Flipkart. Ahead of the launch, Tandon revealed that the F5 5G will launch in India in two colour options. One of them would be called Carbon Black, which has a glossy back panel. There is also a Snowstorm White colour option coming to India.

The POCO India top chief further revealed that the upcoming F-series smartphone will feature 8GB of RAM on the base model. It will come with 256GB of storage. We can also expect the F5 5G to launch with a 12GB RAM option with 256GB of storage.

In addition to this, the phone is confirmed to feature a triple-camera setup on the back. The device has a “Turbine-like” camera module design. There is also an LED flash module next to the camera sensors. The text on the camera module confirms that the F5 5G has a 64MP main camera sensor.

Tandon revealed that the F5 5G has an AnTuTu score of nearly a million. He previously claimed that the phone scored 969,903 points on AnTuTu, which is the highest-ever score by a phone with a Snapdragon 7-series chip.

On the front, the phone has a flat display with a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera. The phone has very thin bezels around the display, and according to Tandon, offers a 93 per cent screen-to-body ratio.

The phone is likely a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo from China. The device in China features an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, there is a 16MP front camera.

It is also likely to feature a 5000mAh battery and offer 67W fast charging support. The F5 5G will launch with Android 13 out of the box. It will have a layer of MIUI 13 on top of Android. The 6.67-inch display will feature a Full HD+ resolution and offer support for a 120Hz refresh rate as well.
