POCO is all set to introduce a new F-series smartphone – the POCO F5 in the Indian market. The company, yesterday, revealed that the POCO F5 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor. POCO has now revealed that the POCO F5 will launch on May 9 in India. On the same day, POCO Global will launch the POCO F5 and the POCO F5 Pro for global markets.

The POCO F5 will be sold exclusively via Flipkart in India. Ahead of the launch, a micro-site (mobile only) has also gone live on Flipkart which reveals the POCO F5 in a white coloru option. The POCO F5 official teaser on Flipkart confirms that the POCO F5 will be a a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo from China. In another development, the POCO F5 India price has been tipped by Yogesh Brar. Let us take a closer look at the details.

Yogesh claims that the POCO F5 will be priced at either Rs 28,000 or Rs 29,000 for the base variant in the Indian market. It is not clear if this will be the pricing including launch offers or if the company will provide launch offers on top of this pricing. In any case, with a bump in internal storage in the base variant, the under Rs 30,000 pricing for the base variant seems good.

To those unaware, POCO India Head Himanshu Tandon conducted a survey on Twitter and based on responses, he announced that the upcoming POCO smartphone, which is now confirmed to be POCO F5, will launch in two configurations – 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB.

The POCO F5 Indian variant was spotted on the Geekbench benchmark database which revealed that the device will rely on Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor for day-to-day tasks and operations. The POCO F5, based on the model number, might be a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo from China.

If that’s the case, the POCO F5 will offer a 120Hz AMOLED display and a 5000mAh battery unit. The smartphone might pack a triple-rear camera setup including a 64MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP sensor. It might feature support for 67W fast charging.

The POCO F5 Pro, on the other hand, will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, as revealed in the Geekbench benchmark listing. The POCO F5 Pro is expected to be a rebranded Redmi K60 from China. You can head over to this link to learn more about the POCO F5 Pro.
