Poco F5 Pro and Poco F5 Cleared TUV Certification Ahead of Tipped April Launch

Poco is likely to launch Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro smartphones globally soon. The vanilla F5 is also expected to launch in India.

Poco is gearing up to launch Poco F5 series smartphones globally, including in India. The series would consist of Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro smartphones. Previously, these devices had appeared on various certification websites, including EEC, IMEI, FCC, and more. However, it is tipped that only the vanilla Poco F5 smartphone would make its way to India. A report claimed that Poco would launch the smartphone on April 6 in India. The Pro variant might be exclusive to other global markets, similar to other Poco smartphones. Ahead of the launch, both these smartphones have been certified with TUV certification (via), indicating that the launch is nearing.

Expected Launch Date of Upcoming Poco F5 series Smartphones

The TUV certification reveals the model number of the forthcoming Poco F5 series smartphones. The vanilla F5 would bear the model number 23049PCD8G and 23013PC75G for the Pro model. These model numbers are the same ones that were earlier revealed through other listings. Both of these smartphones are said to be rebranded Redmi smartphones.

Poco would rebrand Redmi Note 12 Turbo as Poco F5 and Redmi K60 as Poco F5 Pro. We know the exact specifications of these smartphones since they have already been launched in China. Even though the vanilla F5 was tipped to launch on April 6, Poco might delay the smartphone launch. A report from Xiaomiui claimed that the launch might be shifted to mid or end of April-2023 as the software builds of these devices went live only on March 27.

Poco F5 Pro Rumoured Specifications

The F5 Pro is said to equip a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 2K resolution. Underneath, it will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The chipset would pair with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone would run on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box.

Poco would equip the device with a triple camera setup on the rear. The setup would consist of a primary 64MP sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a field of view of 120°, and a 2MP macro sensor. The centred punch-hole in the display would equip the 16MP selfie camera. The smartphone would be backed by a large 5500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The device would also bring support for 30W wireless charging tech.

The smartphone features a 6.67 inches 12-bit Flexible OLED panel with FHD+ resolution. Under the hood, it will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset built on a 4nm process. The chipset would pair with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

In the optics department, Poco would equip the device with a triple-rear camera setup. It would consist of a primary 64MP sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. The 16MP selfie camera would be placed inside the punch-hole in the display. A large 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging tech would back the smartphone.
