POCO F5 Pro Clears NBTC Certification; Expected to Make Global Debut Soon

POCO has been on a launch spree since the beginning of the year. The company so far has introduced five handsets – POCO C50, POCO C51, POCO C55, POCO X5 5G, and POCO X5 Pro 5G in 2023. The company is expected to refresh its flagship killer F-series in the coming months. The upcoming POCO F-series is expected to consist of two models – the POCO F5 and the POCO F5 Pro.

Now, folks at 91mobiles have spotted the upcoming POCO F5 Pro on Thailand’s NBTC certification website. The POCO F5 Pro has already acquired FCC and TUV certifications. POCO F5 Pro’s appearance on several certification websites does hint toward its imminent launch. Let us take a closer look at the details.

The upcoming POCO F5 Pro made an appearance on the NBTC certification website with the model number 23013PC75G. This seems to be the global variant of the device since the model number ends with the letter G. The listing does not reveal anything about the upcoming F-series smartphone in terms of specifications.

However, rumour mill suggests that POCO’s upcoming F5 and the F5 Pro will be nothing but rebranded Redmi smartphones. The company is said to launch the Redmi Note 12 Turbo as the POCO F5 in global markets. Whereas, the POCO F5 Pro, for the global markets, will be a rebranded Redmi K60.

POCO F5 Pro: (Leaked) Specifications

The POCO F5 Pro is said to offer a 120Hz refresh rate OLED display with a 2K resolution and 6.67-inch size. The smartphone is tipped to sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor which brings with it Adreno 730 GPU. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 seems to be Android OEMs’ preferred choice for the affordable flagship segment. To those unaware, the OnePlus 11R and iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition are both powered by the same processor.

The POCO F5 Pro is tipped to feature a triple rear camera setup including a 64MP primary shooter with OIS support. The auxiliary sensors on the device might include an 8MP ultra-wide-angel lens and a 2MP macro shooter. The smartphone is said to come equipped with a 16MP front shooter.

The POCO F5 Pro, as per the rumours, might offer a 5500mAh battery unit. It is said to feature support for 67W fast charging over a Type-C charging port. Similar to the last gen F-series smartphone, the POCO F5 Pro might offer a side-mounted fingerprint scanner on the security front. The handset is tipped to offer a stereo speaker setup as well.
