MySmartPrice was the first publication to discover that Xiaomi is working on a new POCO device, the POCO M2 Pro, which has the model number M2003J6CI. The POCO M2 Pro is rumored to come as a mid-range smartphone that will be placed between the Redmi Note 9 Pro and the POCO X2, in Xiaomi’s line up of smartphones. The POCO M2 Pro was recently spotted on Wi-Fi Alliance, revealing that the phone has a Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, and Android 10 with MIUI 11. Although, there hasn’t been any leak regarding the POCO M2 Pro since then.
Today, however, there has been some development regarding the POCO M2 Pro. We have now spotted the POCO M2 Pro on the BIS certification platform of India.
POCO M2 Pro (M2003J6CI) gets BIS certification
The BIS certification that we are talking about is for a POCO phone bearing the model number M2003J6CI, which, we know, is the POCO M2 Pro. The BIS certification of the POCO M2 Pro reveals that the phone has been manufactured/imported by Flextronics Technologies Indian Private Limited situated in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu. Unfortunately, that is all we come to know from the BIS certification.
Considering that the POCO M2 Pro has been certified through an Indian agency, it is most likely to launch in India. The BIS certification of the POCO M2 Pro also suggests that the phone is inching closer towards the launch.
