After teasing for a while POCO has finally launched its most-awaited smartphone the POCO M2 in India with a starting price of Rs 10,999. The smartphone comes with USP like quad-camera setup, MediaTek chipset, 6GB RAM and more. The entry-level smartphone goes up against the Realme Narzo 10 and Moto G9 which also falls under the same price point. In this article, we have decided to pit the POCO M2 against these two smartphones and see which one outperforms the others.

The POCO M2 comes in two variants in India, one with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, which is priced at INR 10,999, and one with 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage with a price tag of INR 12,499. Realme Narzo 10 is the price in India at INR 11,999 for 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. Motorola Moto G9, on the other hand, has a 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage priced at INR 11,499.

Design-wise all the three handsets look premium at first glance although they are not. All three smartphones come with a bezel-less display. POCO M2, Realme Narzo 10 and Moto G9 offer waterdrop notch to accommodate selfie camera setup. At the back, all the three smartphones offer a plastic back with a glossy finish which looks like glass. However, the solid colour paint job of the POCO M2 makes it more attractive than the other two handsets.

The fingerprint scanners are embedded at the rear panels of all the three phones, but the Moto G9 manages to hide it under the Moto logo. POCO M2, Realme Narzo 10 and Moro G9 come with curved edges which makes the smartphone handy. But overall POCO M2 looks more premium in terms of design compared to the other two smartphones.

The Poco M2 flaunts a 6.53-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD with a waterdrop notch design and edge-to-edge display. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and also comes with TUV Rheinland Blue Light certification.

Realme Narzo 10 sports a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution with a waterdrop notch design. It comes with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and 89.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. Motorola Moto G9, on the other hand, packs 6.5-inch Max Vision HD+ display with a resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixel with waterdrop notch which makes room for the selfie camera.

On the hardware front, the POCO M2 and Realme Narzo are powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor, which is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. While the Moto G9 at the helm is juiced by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

POCO M2 features a quad rear-camera setup with the combination of a 13-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, along with an LED Flash. Upfront, it houses an 8-megapixel camera sensor for selfies and video calls.

While the Realme Narzo 10 comes with four-camera sensors at the back, which includes 48-megapixel main (f/1.8, PDAF) + 119-degree ultrawide camera + B&W Portrait Lens (f/2.4) + Macro Lens (f/1.8). The rear camera setup is capable of recording videos in 1080P. On the selfie front, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel camera snapper.

At the back, Moto G9 packs a triple camera setup, which consists of a 48-megapixel primary lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera, along with an LED flash. It houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera, which sits underneath the waterdrop notch.

POCO M2 packs a 5,000mAh battery with up to 18W fast charging support. The Realme Narzo on the other side is also fuelled by a 5000mAh battery, 18W quick charging support and reverse charging technology. Motorola Moto G9 draws power from a 5,000mAh non-removable battery with up to 20W of fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port.

Looking at all the aspects of all the three smartphones we can say that POCO M2, Realme Narzo 10, and Motorola Moto G9 comes with almost the same specifications and features. POCO M2 and Realme Narzo 10 get a lead by offering quad-camera setup and latest MediaTek chipset. Realme Narzo with better camera specifications and reverse charging technology gets an edge over the competition.
