A couple of days back, POCO Global revealed that its upcoming mid-range handset POCO M3 Pro 5G will make a debut on May 19th. The company has already confirmed the presence of an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity processor on the upcoming M-series phone. In an interview with Android Central, POCO executives revealed that the upcoming POCO M3 Pro 5G will be the first POCO M-series device to feature a high refresh rate display. Now, the company, via a new social media teaser, has confirmed that the upcoming mid-range device will feature a 90Hz refresh rate display. The teaser further reveals that the display of the POCO M3 Pro display will have an FHD+ resolution, and a dot-notch, similar to its predecessor – POCO M2 Pro.
POCO M3 Pro 5G: Specifications and Features
The upcoming POCO M series handset is now confirmed to feature a 6.5-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and a dot-notch. The company has also confirmed that the display on the POCO M3 Pro will support the DynamicSwitch feature. The DynamicSwitch feature will enable automatic switching between 30, 50, 60, or 90Hz refresh rate depending on the content.
The upcoming POCO handset will sport an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor that is built on a 7nm fabrication process. The company has also confirmed that the M3 Pro will feature faster storage, and more RAM compared to the regular POCO M3. So, the handset might offer UFS 2.2 storage along with 6GB RAM.
Earlier this week, the leaked renders of the upcoming POCO M series handset appeared on the web revealing the complete design of the handsets. The renders also confirmed the presence of a triple-rear camera setup inside a rectangular camera module. What’s interesting about the camera housing is that it will have a black vertical island around the camera with POCO branding inside. The renders also suggest that the POCO M3 Pro will pack a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The upcoming POCO smartphone will retail in Black, Blue, and Iconic POCO Yellow color variants.
POCO M3 Pro 5G has already been spotted on IMEI database revealing that it is a rebadged Redmi Note 10 5G. So, it should feature a 48MP primary sensor, along with a 2MP depth, and a 2MP macro sensor. We can also see an 8MP front shooter for selfies, similar to the Redmi Note 10 5G. The M3 Pro could pack a 5000mAh battery with 22.5W fast-charging support.
