Update: POCO M5 has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. The India variant of the M5 has been listed on the certification website, hinting at an imminent launch.
POCO is gearing up for the launch of a new M-series smartphone. The company recently launched the POCO M4 series globally and will soon unveil the POCO M5 series. POCO will launch at least two smartphones in the M5 series. One of the two devices, the POCO M5s, is a rebadged Redmi Note 10S. The other smartphone, which has the model number 22071219CG, has been spotted on the FCC website.
The listing on the FCC website reveals some key specifications of the M5. In addition to this, the phone is also listed on the IMEI website, confirming its moniker. Let’s take a look at the POCO M5 specifications, features and other details known so far.
POCO M5 FCC, IMEI Listings
POCO M5 series will launch soon in global markets. The vanilla M5 has been spotted on the IMEI and FCC websites ahead of its launch. The IMEI listing reveals that the POCO M5 has the model number 22071219CG. While the IMEI website does not help with any of the specs, the FCC listing reveals that the phone runs MIUI 13 out of the box. We can expect the M5 to run Android 12 out of the box. The phone will support 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band WiFi as well.
Other details of the M5 4G are known at the moment. Both devices, the M5 and M5s were spotted on the IMDA Singapore certification website. The FCC listing of the M5s previously confirmed many important details of the M5s though. It revealed that the phone is a rebadged Redmi Note 10S from 2021. It will launch with three storage options – 4GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB storage options. It will launch in a blue colour option. POCO is likely to launch the phone in more colours.
Since the phone is a rebadged Note 10S, it will draw power from a MediaTek Helio G95 processor. There will be a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The phone will also sport a quad-camera setup on the back with a 64MP main camera. Alongside, there will be an 8MP ultra-wide camera and two 2MP sensors. The phone will pack a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
