POCO M5 series is set to debut very soon worldwide. The company has confirmed the launch of the POCO M5 in India on September 5. The device will launch in global markets at the same time. Alongside the M5, the M5s is also confirmed to launch globally. However, the India launch of the M5s is unlikely. POCO has started teasing the design and other details of the upcoming M5 series.
Ahead of the official launch, the M5 and M5s have been spotted on the AliExpress Global website. The listing reveals the RAM, storage and colour options of the upcoming POCO smartphones. Let’s take a look at the POCO M5, M5s specifications, features and other details known so far.
POCO M5, M5s Listed Online
POCO M5 and M5s will be two new budget smartphones launching on September 5. The POCO M5 will launch as a new 4G smartphone in India. The M5s, along with the M5, has been spotted on the AliExpress website.
The listing reveals that the M5 will arrive in three storage options – 4GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB. It will launch in Green, Grey and Yellow colours. The M5s, on the other hand, will launch in Grey, Blue and White colour options. It will also launch in 4GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB storage options.
The image on AliExpress reveals that the M5s will sport a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the front camera, whereas the M5 will have a water-drop notch.
We already know that the M5 will launch with a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. The company has revealed the rear panel design, which confirms that the phone will sport a triple-camera setup on the back. The camera sensor details are unknown at the moment but we can expect the phone to feature a 50MP main camera. At the front, the M5 is likely to sport a 6.58-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate. The device will pack a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
The M5s, on the other hand, is a rebadged Redmi Note 10S. It is likely to sport a 6.43-inch 60Hz AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. There will be a MediaTek Helio G95 SoC under the hood. The phone will also pack a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. It will sport a quad-camera setup on the back with a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and two 2MP sensors. Both devices will run Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box.
