POCO M5, M5s Design Renders, Price Leaked Ahead of September 5 Launch

POCO has confirmed the launch of the M5 series. The company will launch the M5 and the M5s worldwide on September 5. POCO has also confirmed the launch of the M5 in India. The POCO M5s, on the other hand, is unlikely to make it to India. Ahead of the official launch, the company has started teasing the design and key specifications of both models. A new report by 91Mobiles has now revealed the design renders of both smartphones, the POCO M5 and the M5s.

POCO M5 Design Renders and Specifications

The POCO M5 will be a new budget smartphone launching in India on September 5. The device is expected to be priced under Rs 13,000. It will sport a dual-tone rear panel design. The company has confirmed that the phone will offer a leather-like finish on the back.

The camera island houses a triple-camera setup and has the POCO branding on the right side. At the front, the POCO M5 has a water-drop notch. POCO has confirmed that the phone will feature a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. It is expected to sport a 6.58-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate. The company has not confirmed the specs but the rumour mill claims that the device will pack a 5000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. It is also expected to feature a 50MP main camera.

According to the 91Mobiles report, the M5 will launch in Green, Yellow, and Black colour options. It will have a starting price of EUR 189 (roughly Rs 15,000) for the base 4GB + 64GB storage option. The phone will also launch with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage for EUR 209 (roughly Rs 16,600)

POCO M5s Design Renders and Specifications

The M5s looks like a rebadged Redmi Note 10S with its camera module design. The device has a quad-camera setup on the back. It is likely to feature a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and two 2MP sensors for macro photography and depth sensing.

The device will launch in Black, Blue and White colours.

At the front, there will be a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. It will draw power from a MediaTek Helio G95 SoC and pack a 5000mAh battery. The phone will also support 33W fast charging out of the box. It will run Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box.
