POCO India’s Head started teasing a new POCO M series smartphone in the last week of July 2023. The country head later confirmed that the company will launch Poco M6 Pro 5G in India. The teaser shared by Himanshu Tandon (POCO India Head) also revealed the design of the upcoming device. The country head later confirmed that the brand will launch the smartphone on August 5.
The company also revealed some key details of the forthcoming device. The upcoming device was also spotted in the GeekBench listing, revealing the chipset and other specifications. A new report from Pricebaba citing its industry sources has revealed the renders, pricing, storage variants, and specifications of the forthcoming M6 Pro 5G.
The teaser shared by POCO confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will feature a flat frame and rear panel design. The upcoming device will also feature a dual-tone finish on the rear. The teaser reveals that the upcoming device will feature a rectangular blackened area for the camera cut-outs. A large POCO logo can be seen on the left part of the blackened area in the rear panel.
POCO will equip the smartphone with a dual rear camera setup with an LED flash. The SIM card tray can also be seen on the left side of the smartphone. The renders shared by Pricebaba reveal the rear design similar to the official teaser image of the device. A 3.5mm headphone jack and an IR blaster can be seen on the top of the smartphone. The power button and volume rockers can be seen on the right side of the device.

The left side of the upcoming device is clean except for the SIM card tray. The USB type C port, speaker grille, and microphone are at the bottom of the upcoming device. The renders also reveal that the smartphone will have a centre punch-hole cut-out on display for the selfie camera. The upcoming M6 Pro 5G will have a relatively large chin on the bottom of the smartphone, similar to the recently launched Redmi 12 5G smartphone.

The report also reveals that the forthcoming device will have a 6.79-inch LCD display. The display will have an FHD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 20:5:9. Under the hood, the device will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. The GeekBench listing of the smartphone with the model number 23076PC4BI confirmed that the device features a Qualcomm SoC with a peak clock speed of 2.2GHz.
The GeekBench listing also revealed that the chipset will pair with up to 6GB of RAM. The Pricebaba report adds that the chipset will pair with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The upcoming Poco M6 Pro 5G will feature 50MP + 2MP dual rear cameras. Poco might equip the device with an 8MP or 5MP selfie camera. The device will be backed by a 5000 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging tech.
The leaked specifications of the smartphone hint that the upcoming M6 Pro 5G is a rebadged Redmi 12 5G smartphone with a slightly different back panel. The Pricebaba report reveals that Poco might price the smartphone at Rs 14,999 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The 4GB RAM and 128GB variant will be priced at Rs 15,999 and Rs 16,999 for the top-end variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
