- POCO Pods are tipped to be rebranded Redmi Buds 4 Active.

POCO is a five-year-old brand that has become a household name in India but has dealt only with smartphones. It launched the Poco Watch smartwatch and Poco Buds Pro Genshin Impact Edition TWS earbuds last year in the global markets but never brought them to India. This is expected to change soon as POCO is now rumoured to preparing for a TWS earbuds launch in India. The release could happen next week and here are the details available so far.
POCO Pods TWS Earbuds India Launch Soon
A fresh 91Mobiles report citing anonymous sources has revealed POCO Pods TWS earbuds are set to launch in India on July 28. It means if true, we are exactly one week away from the official unveiling. These will be the company’s first TWS earbuds launch in the country as it has released only smartphones so far.
The POCO Pods TWS earbuds are expected to cost anywhere between Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,000. These will make them entry-level offerings aimed at budget-conscious buyers. It is not surprising as this has been POCO’s USP since its inception which is to deliver the best value while being easy on the wallet.
The report mentions POCO Pods will likely be rebranded Redmi Buds 4 Active which went official in India last month. The leaked POCO Pods render shows a design with a striking resemblance to the Redmi ones. The only difference is in the colour scheme as POCO seems to have opted for a dual-colour finish. The buds are shown in Black but with Yellow-coloured rubber ear tips and insides of the charging case.
If this is indeed the case, the POCO Pods should have the same set of specifications and features too. It means we could see them with 12mm audio drivers, IPX4-rated sweat and splash resistance, Environment Noise Cancellation (ENC), Bluetooth 5.3, Google Fast Pair, and up to 30 hours of battery life.
In other news, POCO has officially teased the launch of a new smartphone in India. It was the company’s country head Himanshu Tandon who posted a teaser tweet saying, “It’s time to move to the ‘6’ series now!!”. This has led to speculations that he is talking about the POCO M6 Pro, a rebranded Redmi Note 12R.
The POCO C51 Airtel Exclusive variant is the most recent launch from the company in India. This is a smartphone available in exclusive partnership with Airtel. It is available at an effective price of Rs 5,999 including Airtel Exclusive benefits. These include 7.5% off (up to Rs 750) on the phone’s selling price and 50GB of free data to all buyers. Airtel will offer five coupons of 10GB of free data each to customers that can be redeemed once a month.
