POCO launched the POCO M2 successor, the POCO M3 smartphone in India on February 2nd. The device went on sale for the first time on February 9th via Flipkart. And by the looks of it, the POCO M3 seems to have received phenomenal response, as the company announced it managed to sell more than 1,50,000 units in the first sale. POCO claims that over 30 lakhs consumers have expressed their interests in purchasing the POCO M3 in the first sale. If you were not able to purchase the device, you can try your luck as the POCO M3 will be going on sale in India on February 16th at 12 noon via Flipkart.

POCO M3 Price in India:

The POCO M3 price starts at Rs 10,999 for 6GB + 64GB model, while the 6GB + 128GB variant retails for Rs 11,999. The device comes in three colour options that include: Blue, Yellow, and Black. The smartphone had an initial launch offer where you could get instant cashback of Rs 1,000 through ICICI bank card. With this discount, you could have managed to grab the phone at around Rs 9,999 and Rs 10,999 in the first sale.

POCO M3 Specifications, Features

The POCO M3 features a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a 1080×2340 resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The device even has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a Widevine L1 certification. There’s a water drop notch at the front which houses a single front-facing camera. Under the hood, the M3 is powered by a Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 662 processor. The smartphone comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB (UFS 2.2) internal storage option that even has an expandable storage support via microSD card up to 512GB. The device even has a base model, which packs in 6GB RAM and 64GB (UFS 2.1) internal storage.

On the software front, the POCO M3 runs on Android 10-based MIUI 12 for POCO out of the box. In terms of imaging, the smartphone sports a triple camera setup, with the main primary camera consisting of a 48MP sensor. The primary camera is accompanied with a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video-calling, the device features a 8MP camera that has a f/2.05 aperture.

The POCO M3 packs a massive 6000mAh battery that has 18W fast-charging support over a USB Type-C charging port. Connectivity-wise the device has Dual 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Dimensions-wise, the smartphone measures 162.30 x 77.30 x 9.60mm and weighs around 198 grams.
