POCO has been hinting and teasing the launch of a new mid-range smartphone for a while now. The company has now confirmed that the smartphone will be launching on September 7th. To recall, POCO X3 is POCO’s take on the newly emerged mid-range Android champion OnePlus Nord. POCO Global Spokesperson, Angus, had previously confirmed that the smartphone will feature a higher-refresh-rate display which is expected to be a 120Hz panel, similar to what we have seen on POCO X2 previously. Angus had also given us an early preview of the design of the POCO X3.

POCO X3 appears on Geekbench 5 revealing some key details!

We are just a week away from the launch and now, we have spotted the upcoming POCO X3 on the Geekbench. As per the Geekbench 5 listing, the device with model number M2007J20CG has scored 571 points in the single-core test while the multi-core score is 1,766. To recall, we had spotted M2007J20CG last week with a 64MP rear camera and 33W charging support on multiple certification websites. The device that appeared on FCC had a camera module similar to what teasers shared by Angus showed. Apart from it, the Geekbench listing has also revealed 6GB RAM along with 1.80GHZ octa-core processor on the device.

On digging up further, we also found a reference of Adreno 618 GPU which is found on Qualcomm Snapdragon 730, 730G, and 732G, but the higher scores compared to Snapdragon 730 and 730G confirm the presence of recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G. Geekbench 5 listing also reveals that the smartphone will run Android 10 out of the box and we might see MIUI 12 on top of it.

Previously, teasers shared by Angus had confirmed the presence of a quad-rear camera setup along with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Last week, leaked specifications of POCO X3 had appeared on the web revealing a 6.67 inch 120Hz refresh rate display with 240Hz sampling rate. The display on the POCO X3 will likely be FHD+ panel but due to the presence of side-mounted fingerprint sensor, we suspect that POCO might use LCD panel on the POCO X3. Leaked images had also given us a glimpse of the display on POCO X3, revealing a punch-hole display similar to POCO M2 Pro.

We are just a week away from POCO X3 official launch and we hope to learn more about POCO X3 via official teasers and certification website. Rest assured, we will keep you updated as soon as we learn anything new about the POCO X3.
