The POCO X3 NFC made its global debut at an event last week in Europe. Right after the European launch, POCO India General Manager, C Manmohan took it to Twitter to ask POCO fans if they’re interested in the device and want the company to launch it in India. Now, it looks like the device might launch soon in India as a new leak suggests that the smartphone will launch in India on 22nd September and will be priced under Rs 20,000 mark. The leaker further claims that the Indian variant of the device might pack a slightly bigger battery compared to the global version.
POCO X3 might be Priced under Rs. 20,000 in India
The leaked information suggests that the smartphone will launch in India for either Rs. 18,999 or Rs. 19,999, this should be the price for the base variant as previously, Manmohan has hinted that the variant priced at EUR 229 would cost Rs 20,000 + taxes in India. To recall, POCO X3 retails for EUR 229 for the 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant costs EUR 269 in Europe.
POCO X3 Specifications and Features
The POCO X3 packs a 6.67-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 2,400×1,080 pixel resolution that results in a pixel density of 395ppi. It is an HDR10 certified panel that can go as high as 450 nits in terms of brightness. The POCO X3 display refreshes 120 times per second, and features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Under-the-hood, the POCO X3 sports an all-new octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G that is built on an 8nm fabrication process. The graphics duties on the handsets are taken care of by an Adreno 618 GPU. It is equipped with 6GB LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.
Moving on to the optics, POCO X3 packs a 64MP quad-rear camera setup. The primary shooter on the handset is a Sony IMX682 sensor that has f/1.89 aperture. It gets accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a couple of 2MP lenses – Macro and Depth sensors. The latest POCO handset can record 4k videos at 30 frames per second and offers a host of camera features such as AI SkyScaping 3.0, AI photo clones, 6 long exposure modes, Pro mode, AI portrait mode, Night mode, Movie frame, and more. The device offers a 20MP AI front camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calls.
POCO X3 offers a 5,160mAh battery with 33W fast charging support and has a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers. The device features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that doubles as the power button. POCO has retained the 3.5mm headphone jack on the X3, and it is also the first POCO device to come with a stereo speaker setup. The POCO X3 comes in two color variants – Cobalt Blue and Shadow Gray.
