POCO X3 Pro Appears on BIS Certification, India Launch Imminent

POCO seems to be gearing up fast for the launch of the POCO X3 Pro smartphone soon. The device already had gained required IMDA, EEC, and TUV certifications in the last few weeks. In fact, the POCO X3 Pro even appeared on the FCC certification database with model number M2102J20SG just few days ago. Well, some more evidence of the POCO X3 Pro is spotted, thanks to the BIS certification. The POCO X3 Pro has cleared the BIS certification, which carries a model number as M2102J20SI.

POCO X3 Pro Clears BIS, SIRIM Certification

The BIS certification in one way also hints that the POCO X3 Pro might launch in India soon. Apart from the BIS certification, the POCO X3 Pro even has cleared the SIRIM (Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia) certification in Malaysia, implying us that the launch is quite closer. The SIRIM certification even showcase the device with same M2102J20SG model number, with mention of the phone featuring Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. The POCO X3 Pro that cleared the FCC certification few days ago carried the model number as M2102J20SG. This does indicate that the phone might come in two different variants.

A report by XDADevelopers last week, even detailed some information of this upcoming smartphone. The report mentioned that the POCO X3 Pro is code-named as “vayu” and “bhima”, which can be different variants of the same base model. Furthermore, it also claimed that the smartphone could be powered by Qualcomm SM8150 (Snapdragon 855) SoC. The device may be equipped with a 48-megapixel quad rear camera setup. Other specs of this upcoming smartphone like display size, battery capacity, and front camera details remains unknown for now. Additionally, it isn’t also known, as such when the POCO X3 Pro will be going official, as POCO hasn’t mentioned any launch timeframe of this upcoming device.

Last year POCO launched the POCO X3 smartphone in India in September. The smartphone features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 732G processor powers up the device, which is aided with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The POCO X3 sports a quadruple rear camera setup, which consist of a 64MP primary camera, a 13MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. At the front, the smartphone features a single punch-hole selfie camera, which is of 20MP. The phone ships with a massive 6000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
