Another POCO smartphone that could launch soon in India and other markets is the POCO X5 5G. The company is likely to launch the X5 5G series later this year.
There is no official word on the launch date of the POCO smartphone. While we wait for more details on that front, the POCO X5 has been spotted on the FCC and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. Let’s take a look at the POCO X5 5G specifications, features and other details leaked so far.
POCO X5 5G FCC and BIS Listing
The Poco X5 5G is likely to launch soon in India. Ahead of the official confirmation, the phone has been spotted on the FCC website. The listing on FCC reveals that the X5 5G has a rectangular camera module design. The device will come with dual-band Wi-Fi support as well. In addition to the design schematic and the Wi-Fi standard details, the FCC certification website also revealed that the POCO phone will pack a 4900mAh battery under the hood. The company is likely to promote it as a 5000mAh battery, which is likely going to be its typical capacity.
The FCC certification also revealed that the phone will support the n5, n7, n38, n41, n77 and n78 5G bands. It will run MIUI 14 out of the box, which suggests that the phone could launch with Android 13 out of the box.
The Indian variant of the X5 5G has the model number 22101320I and has been spotted on the BIS website, suggesting an imminent launch. POCO India’s top chief has also hinted at the launch of a new phone, which could be the upcoming X5 5G.
The device was previously spotted on the IMEI database as well. Alongside the global model, the Indian variant of the phone was also spotted on the IMEI website. In China, the phone could debut as a Redmi device with the model number 22101320C.
Some other details about the phone have leaked in the past. It is said to sport an IPS LCD with 120Hz refresh rate support. The phone is also said to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC.
