POCO, back in March, introduced the POCO X4 Pro smartphone in the Indian market. The brand didn’t launch the vanilla POCO X4. The company is expected to debut the POCO X5 series in the coming weeks which is rumoured to consist of POCO X5 5G and POCO X5 Pro. The company executive recently hinted that the POCO X5 series will debut sometime in January or February. Now, we have spotted the upcoming POCO X5 global variant, with the model number 22111317PG, on the NBTC, EEC, and TUV certification databases.
Alongside, the POCO X5 Indian variant, with the model number 22111317PI, has also cleared Bureau of Indian Standard certification. The NBTC certification listing reveals the moniker of the device, which is POCO X5 5G. Let us take a closer look at the details.
The POCO X5 made an appearance on the NBTC and EEC certification websites with the model number 22111317PG (G represents global variant). Whereas, the smartphone has been spotted on the BIS with model number 22111317PI (I represents the Indian variant). The TUV listing for the device reveals that the smartphone will also launch under Redmi branding, with the model number 22111317G.
Apart from it, the listings do not reveal anything about the device in terms of specifications or design. However, the similarity of the model number with the Redmi Note 12 5G suggests that there could be similarities between the Redmi Note 12 5G and the POCO X5 in terms of specifications.
