POCO X5 5G India Launch Officially Teased; To be Priced Under Rs 20,000

POCO India has teased the POCO X5 India launch. The company has also confirmed that the POCO X5 will be priced under Rs 20000 in the country.

POCO, last month, launched the POCO X5 and POCO X5 Pro in the global markets. The company also launched the POCO X5 Pro in the Indian market. POCO India Head, Himanshu recently confirmed that the POCO X5 will launch soon in the Indian market. In a new development, the company has now started teasing the POCO X5 India launch.

The POCO X5 is quite similar to Redmi Note 12 5G in terms of specifications and design but it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor. POCO has also teased the POCO X5 India price range. The company took it to social media channels to share the first teaser for the upcoming launch. Take a look at the teaser.

POCO India, through the teaser, has revealed that the upcoming POCO X5 will be priced under Rs 20,000 in the Indian market. To those unaware, the base variant (6GB + 128GB) of the POCO X5 is priced at $249 (approx Rs 20,500) in global markets. Let us take a recap of the POCO X5 5G specifications and features.

POCO X5 5G: Specifications and Features

The POCO X5 flaunts a 120Hz AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and 1200nits peak brightness. The display panel measures 6.67 inches in size and supports a 45,00,000: 1 contrast ratio. The display panel features a centered punch hole notch and comes with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Powering the POCO X5 is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor that comes coupled with an integrated Adreno 619 GPU. It features up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage and up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. The handset comes pre-loaded with MIUI 13 for POCO, based on Android 12.

The POCO X5 relies on a triple-rear camera setup on the optics front. The primary shooter on the device includes a 48MP sensor. Accompanying it is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro sensor, and an LED flash. The smartphone relies on a 13MP front shooter for video calls and selfies.

The POCO X5 comes equipped with a 5000mAh battery unit. It supports 33W fast charging over a USB Type-C port. The handset sports a side-mounted fingerprint scanner which also doubles as the power button. The POCO X5 also offers a micro-SD card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an IR blaster.

The POCO X5 comes in Blue, Black, and Green colour options. It measures 165.88 × 76.21 × 7.98mm and weighs 189 grams. The POCO X5 is dust and splash-resistant with an IP53 rating.
