Poco X-series is getting a new gaming phone this week in the market and here's a quick round-up of the expected features.

  • Poco’s new phone will be the successor to the X4 Pro version
  • Flipkart is the official partner to sell the new Poco phone
  • Poco could borrow the features from existing Redmi Note 12 series model

Poco is ready to enter the competition with its new Poco X5 Pro smartphone next week. The Xiaomi sub-brand has been away from the market since 2022 but is now ready to start the year with a bang, which is being promised in the form of the Poco X5 Pro, which will be the logical successor to the Poco X4 Pro.

The X-series devices from Poco have focused on performance and gamers, and looking at the teasers of the device, we don’t think the Poco X5 Pro would be any different. So when is the Poco X5 Pro launching in India, what time is the event, where can you watch it and what are its expected features? We give you all the details in this round-up.

Poco X5 Pro Launch Date, Event Time, Where to Watch Live

Poco X5 Pro is all set to launch in India on February 6 at 5:30PM and we expect Poco to livestream the launch event on its YouTube page, where you will get all the updates on the device and its pricing in India. Poco is also having a global launch event for the X5 and the X5 Pro on the same day, which will tell us more about the expected features of the vanilla X-series Poco phone.

Poco X5 Pro Expected Price in India

Poco X5 Pro price in India was leaked earlier this week via tipster Paras Guglani, who claims the starting price of Poco X5 Pro in India will be Rs 24,999 for the lone 8GB + 256GB variant. At this range, it could become one of the most powerful devices that is aimed at gamers and power users.

Poco X5 Pro Expected Sale Date in India

Poco X5 Pro sale date in India has also been teased by the tipster, claiming the new Poco X-series phone will go on sale in India starting February 11 via Flipkart.

Poco X5 Pro Specifications And Features

Poco X5 Pro is dubbed to be a power-packed device, using a capable Snapdragon chipset and giving you credible features that will make your money worth. Poco has already confirmed some of the features of the upcoming phone like the display quality, design and the camera megapixel count at the back. We’ve also got a decent idea about the look and feel of the phone via the design renders that had recently surfaced on the web. Here is a quick look at the Poco X5 Pro features that we will be seeing next week.

120Hz AMOLED Display

Poco X5 Pro is rumoured to feature an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate screen which has definitely become the norm for a mid-ranged device in the market these days. We also expect the phone’s screen to support Full HD+ resolution and offer it with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for additional durability. The screen should be coming with a punch-hole cutout, unless Poco springs a surprise, which is unlikely.

Snapdragon Powering The Device

Poco X-series are popular among power users and gamers. The next version is likely to follow suit by using the reliable Snapdragon 778G chipset which is a proven entity in the market, powering devices that come for a much higher price. We have used devices with this processor and rest assured, you will never feel that the performance is lacking.

Goodness of 108 MP Main Camera

Poco X5 Pro is rumoured to carry a triple rear camera system and the main sensor is expected to be 108MP. Usually we say that higher megapixel count does not mean better quality but in this case, the 108MP camera could be a solid performer in day and low light conditions. We’re eager to see how Poco plans to offer the camera tech on this device.

Other specifications and features

Poco X5 Pro is likely to sport a 6.67-inch screen size with a high refresh rate support that may or may not be adaptive. Like we mentioned, leaked reports suggest Poco X5 Pro will only launch with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage in the country, which allows the company to price aggressively. The secondary and tertiary camera sensors could be an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro shooter, respectively.

Poco could bring the phone in blue, yellow and black colours as per the teasers and the phone is likely to get a 5000mAh battery which supports 67W fast charging speed with the bundled charger in the box. Rumours also indicate that the Poco X5 Pro could be an IP68-rated device and come with a thickness of under 8mm which is manageable.
