After a long competitive break, Pokemon Unite is all set to start this new year with an all-new event, Pokemon Unite Asia Champions League 2023. The Pokemon Company announced the event last year in December 2022. Asia Champions League 2023 will showcase teams from East Asia, Southeast Asia, and India. It consists of three regional leagues, namely East Asia League, Southeast Asia League and India League.

All three regional leagues will take place online, with the Finals being played as a LAN-line event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Pokemon Unite ACL announcement made Indian fans happy as the organizers announced that there would be five Indian teams competing in the national qualifiers Pokemon Unite ACL: India League. During the announcement, Revenant Esports is the only Indian team that confirmed their slot in the upcoming tournament, as they were the winners of the Pokemon UNITE WCS 2022 – India Championship. Earlier this month, the organizers unveiled all the teams which are about to compete in the tournament.

Pokemon Unite Asia Champions League 2023: India League Participating Teams

For the Indian Regional League, Jet Synthesis’s Skyesports, in partnership with the Pokemon Company, conducted the Pokemon UNITE India Open 2022 in the final week of December. It was said that the top four teams would get a slot at the Pokemon Unite Asia Champions League in 2023.

Now that the Pokemon Unite India Open 2022 by Skyesports has concluded, the remaining four slots at ACL are filled up. The Indian regional league is all set to commence on 8 January 2023.

All the information regarding ACL India League was shared on the official website and it will take place in January, February and March. Following are the teams that are going to compete in the Indian Regional League of ACL:

Schedule and Format

The Pokemon Unite ACL: India League is set to take place in two various stages – Regional Stage and Finals, with the former further being divided into two more stages.

Regular Season – Stage 1:

  • It is scheduled to take place on the 8, 15, 29 January and 5 February.
  • 5 teams will compete in a Round-Robin Format on four match days.
  • Every match will be played in a best-of-three series.
  • Based on the overall ranking of teams, the bracket for Stage 2 will be announced.

Regular Season – Stage 2:

  • It is scheduled to take place on the 12th and 19th of February.
  • This stage will be a single-elimination format in accordance with the previous stage’s placements.
  • The top 2 teams from this stage will advance to the Finals.

Prize Pool Distribution

The total prize pool of the event is $84,500 (~Rs 69,95,662) which will be split between the Regular Season: Stage 2 and Finals.

For every League, here is the prize pool distributed after the conclusion of the Regular Season Stage 2:

  • 1st place – $5000
  • 2nd place – $2500
  • 3rd place – $1000
