Fans of “Ponniyin Selvan 2” who missed watching it in theatres can now rejoice as they may see the momentous event whenever and wherever they want. ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’, the second chapter of Mani Ratnam’s grandiose saga, is now available for rent on Amazon Prime Video.
The movie PS2 opened in theatres on April 28, 2023, and it will formally debut on the OTT service Amazon Prime Video on June 28, if the reports are to believed. The huge historical movie is reportedly available for rent in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

However, it is also being reported that the movie will be released on Amazon Prime Video on June 28. So, those who want to watch it now will have to rent it from the streaming service, and those who can wait, wait till 28 June.
Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2 Official Trailer and Plot
The historical drama tells Arulmozhi Varman’s story. In the first part, he was shown drowning in the ocean and the second part starts, with him being ill after being saved from the water by Oomai Rani. Karthi and Aishwarya Lakshmi characters Vallavarayan Vandhiyadhevan and Poonguzhali plan to transport him to a Buddhist monastery where he can receive treatment.
In the meantime, Nandini (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) and the Pandians decide to kill Aditha Karikalan and Sundara Cholar (Prakash Raj) on the same day. On the pretence of making a deal with Madhurandhagan (Rahman), who had organised a rebellion and claimed the throne of the Chola dynasty, she invites Aditha Karikalan to Kadambur Fort. The story further revolves around this.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, Karthi, Prakash Raj, Sobhita Dhulipala, and many others are among the outstanding cast members of PS2.

The crowd responded quite favourably to PS1. The first portion’s several cliffhangers left the audience wondering what would happen in part two. Even though many people think PS2 couldn’t compete with PS1, it was praised when it was released in theatres for Mani Ratnam’s direction, Rahman’s soundtrack, cast performances, and grandeur.
