Possible iQOO Z5x (V2131A) Spotted on 3C Certification, Launch Seems Imminent

iQOO, earlier today, launched the Z5 5G in China. The new iQOO smartphone is the company’s latest mid-range performance smartphone. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC under the hood. The smartphone is confirmed to launch in India next week. Meanwhile, it looks like iQOO could launch another variant of the Z5 very soon. An iQOO smartphone, which could possibly be the Z5x, has visited the 3C certification website. The listing on 3C reveals the fast charging details of the upcoming iQOO smartphone. The device has the model number V2131A. It comes with 44W fast charging support.

The device can also charge at 10W and 18W charging speeds. Unfortunately, the listing does not confirm any other details of the device.

There is no official word from iQOO regarding the device’s launch. The phone was spotted previously on the Google Play Console. It revealed that the phone will draw power from a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC, which comes with an inbuilt 5G modem. The device also has a Full HD+ display with a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. The screen size remains unknown. The Google Play Console listing also revealed that the device will come with at least 8GB of RAM and run Android 11 out of the box. We can expect it to have Origin OS for the China market, whereas other markets will get Funtouch OS 11 out of the box.

Regarding the Z5, the phone sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate screen that has a peak brightness of 650 nits. The phone draws power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC and comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device packs a 5000 mAh battery with 44W fast charging.

The phone has a triple-camera setup on the back. There is a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera sensor. It has a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The device runs Android 11-based Origin OS for iQOO. The device has a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top edge and comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

As mentioned earlier, the phone is confirmed to launch in India. The device will launch in India on September 27.
