OnePlus is rumoured to be working on the next generation of its Ace series smartphone. The OnePlus Ace 5G was launched earlier this year in China. The device came to India in the form of the OnePlus 10R 5G. The USP of the device was its performance unit, coupled with super-fast charging support. It has been a few months since the launch and it looks like OnePlus will launch a successor of the Ace series soon. The OnePlus Ace 2 specifications have started to surface online.
The leaked specifications reveal that the OnePlus Ace could feature a new camera sensor. More importantly, the device is likely to get a downgrade in terms of fast charging. Let’s take a look at the leaked OnePlus Ace 2 specifications, features and other details.
OnePlus Ace 2 Specifications
The OnePlus Ace 2 could launch in India as the OnePlus 11R 5G next year. The specifications of the upcoming premium phone have leaked. According to the leaked details shared by tipster Yogesh Brar, the OnePlus Ace 2 will support 100W fast charging. On paper, it would be a downgrade over the original model’s 150W fast charging support.
The tipster further revealed that the phone will get a new camera sensor. The OnePlus Ace 2 will feature a new Sony IMX890 50MP primary camera sensor. This will, at least on paper, be a change over the Sony IMX766 50MP sensor, which has been used across different OnePlus smartphones.
The primary camera will be accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro/ depth sensor. For selfies, the Ace 2 will feature a 16MP front camera. It will come with Android 13 out of the box. The device will also have a layer of ColorOS 13 in China. When launched in India, users can expect the phone to boot Oxygen OS 13 out of the box.
The device will pack a 5000mAh battery under the hood. It will come with 8GB/ 12GB/ 16GB RAM options. The phone will also offer 128GB/ 256GB storage options. There will also be a new processor. The Ace 2 will come with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
On the front, the phone will sport a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. It will support a 120Hz refresh rate. There were rumours about the screen being slightly curved to offer an immersive viewing experience and a premium look.
More details about the upcoming OnePlus smartphone should be revealed soon. The phone could be launched in China after the OnePlus 11 5G launch in January. The company is yet to comment on the launch timeline.
