Vivo is getting ready to launch a new smartphone under the X-series in China. The company will launch the Vivo X Note alongside the X Fold foldable smartphone in China on April 11. Vivo has already teased the design of its new premium Android smartphone ahead of its official launch. The company, however, has remained quiet when it comes to revealing the key specs of the device. While we wait for that, a new Geekbench database listing has revealed the key performance unit details of the upcoming Vivo smartphone.

Vivo X Note Geekbench

Vivo X Note will sit above the X80 series once it debuts officially in China on April 11. The device is listed on Geekbench with the model number V2170A. According to the Geekbench listing, the phone is codenamed taro. It draws power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The octa-core chip has a peak clock speed of 3.0GHz and is paired with an Adreno 730 GPU for graphics.

The variant listed on Geekbench has 12GB of RAM. We can expect the phone to arrive in 256GB and 512GB storage options. Vivo’s new Android flagship runs Android 12 out of the box. It will have a layer of Origin OS Ocean on top of Android. The listing also reveals that the phone scored 794 and 3158 in Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core tests.

The device is officially confirmed to launch in three colours – Blue, Grey and Black. It will sport a 7-inch AMOLED panel with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to pack a 5000 mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging, and 50W wireless charging.

The rumour mill has also revealed that the phone will come with a quad-camera setup on the back. It will feature a 50MP primary sensor along with a 48MP ultrawide camera. There will also be a 12MP portrait camera with 2x zoom and an 8MP periscope camera, which will support up to 5x zoom.
