Realme 10 Pro+ 5G with Curved Display Teased Ahead of Launch in China

The Realme 10 Pro+ 5G will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC.

Realme is all set to launch the Realme 10 (4G variant) on November 9 in Indonesia. The upcoming Realme 10 will be the company’s first smartphone in the 10 series. Ahead of the Realme 10 launch, the brand has also started teasing the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G smartphone launch in its domestic market – China. The recent teasers posted by the company hint that the Realme 10 Pro+ will offer a curved display panel.

Realme is yet to reveal the launch date for the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G. However, since the brand has already started dropping teasers on Weibo, we can expect it to launch this month itself.

The latest teaser posted by Realme on Weibo reveals that the upcoming Realme 10 Pro+ will feature a curved display panel with a centered punch-hole notch. This means that the Realme 10 Pro+ will be the company’s first number series device to offer a curved display. The curved display panels are aesthetically more pleasing and add to the overall look. However, the adaptation of curved display panels has been slow since curved displays are more fragile compared to flat display panels.

Realme’s upcoming smartphone was recently listed on the China Telecom website which revealed key specifications. Let us take a quick look at what we know about the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G so far.

Realme 10 Pro+ 5G: Specifications

The upcoming Realme 10 Pro+ will offer a 6.7-inch Full HD+ display with a 2412 x 1080 resolution. It is not clear if the display on the upcoming smartphone will be an LCD or an AMOLED panel. The e-commerce listing did confirm that the Realme 10 Pro+ will offer a fingerprint scanner but didn’t reveal the placement details. We can expect the Realme 10 Pro+ to offer a high refresh rate (90Hz or 120Hz) AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner similar to its predecessor – Realme 9 Pro+.

The Realme 10 Pro+ will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor. This is the same processor that powers the Redmi Note 12 Pro series that was recently unveiled in China. With the Dimensity 1080 under the hood, Realme 10 Pro+ 5G might compete with the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G in the Chinese market.

The Realme 10 Pro+ 5G will feature a triple-rear camera setup including a 108MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP camera. It will be equipped with a 16MP front shooter. The handset will be backed by a 5000mAh battery unit and 67W fast charging support. The upcoming Realme 10 Pro+ 5G will retail in three configurations –  8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB. The smartphone will boot Android 13 based Realme UI out of the box.
