Realme CEO Madhav Sheth has confirmed that it plans to bring the slow motion video recording feature to the Realme 2 Pro sometime in the first quarter of 2019. He also hinted at the possibility of the feature being rolled out to other Realme smartphones. While slow motion video recording is not a common feature in budget smartphones, some Realme 2 Pro rivals such as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Mi A2 do offer 720p HD slow motion video capture at 120fps. The Honor 8X, which starts at INR 14,999 in India, offers 480fps slow motion video recording.
Realme 2 Pro to Gain Slow Motion Video Recording Support Early Next Year
Realme will be bringing slow motion video recording to the Realme 2 Pro with an OTA update for the smartphone in the first quarter of 2019. A more specific timeframe has not been provided by the company, so Realme 2 Pro owners may need to wait until March to receive slow motion video recording support. Older Realme smartphones such as the Realme 1 certainly have the hardware to support slow motion video capture, so Realme can certainly choose to bring the feature to the Realme 1. Whether or not that will actually happen, remains to be seen. Entry-level Realme smartphones like the Realme C1 and the Realme 2, however, are unlikely to gain the feature.
Realme 2 Pro will feature slow motion video with an OTA in Q1 2019. Other Realme devices are being taken into consideration.

Even though it has not been officially confirmed yet, we expect the Realme 2 Pro to receive the Android Pie update as well in the first quarter of 2019. So far, the company has confirmed the Pie update for the Realme 1 and Realme 2 smartphones. Since the Realme 2 Pro is the most expensive smartphone that the brand sells currently, there is a good chance that it will be updated to Android Pie soon after the Realme 1 receives the update.
Realme 2 Pro ColorOS 5.2 Update to Start Rolling Out Soon
Realme recently confirmed that it will start rolling out the ColorOS 5.2 software update for the Realme 2 Pro this week. The update will be rolled out via the OTA route.
November Android Security Patch
The ColorOS 5.2 update will come with the latest November Android security patch as well as a few new features and bug fixes. It should be noted that the Realme 2 and Realme C1 are already running the November Android security patch
New Features
Some of the major changes that the update brings include single swipe notification dismiss, headset icon in status bar, and optimized reminders for Developer Options and Accessibility Mode. Apart from these changes, the update optimizes the photo quality of the front-facing camera.
Improved Selfie Camera Photo Quality
Several Realme 2 Pro owners had been complaining about the quality of selfies capture with the smartphone’s 16MP snapper. After you install the ColorOS 5.2 update on your Realme 2 Pro, your selfies will no longer look overexposed.
