The Snapdragon 660 is a popular processor that powers some of the best selling mid-range devices in the market. The picture is much bigger than just the processor though, and it comes down to what it is paired with and the overall specification package to evaluate which device is better. We take a look at some of the best devices packaging the Snapdragon 660 and how they compare against each other.
Realme 2 Pro vs Mi A2 vs Vivo V11: Build, Display
The Vivo V11 has a large 6.41-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution with 19:5.9 aspect ratio and 402 pixels-per-inch. The waterdrop display helps the device achieve an impressive 85.2% screen-to-body ratio inside a footprint measuring 157.9 x 75 x 7.9 mm.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 features a 5.99-inch 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution 18:9 aspect ratio display that provides 403 pixels-per-inch. The lack of a notch and larger bezels means that you’ll see a 77.4% screen-to-body ratio, which isn’t bad by any means, but is quite low when compared to most of the devices in 2018.
Finally, the Realme 2 Pro sits in the middle of both devices with a 6.3-inch screen and 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 409 pixels-per-inch. It has a slightly lower screen-to-body ratio than the Vivo V11 of 84.0% but still impressive nonetheless.
Realme 2 Pro vs Mi A2 vs Vivo V11: Hardware, Performance
Powering the device is a Qualcomm SDM660 Snapdragon 660 Octa-core (4×2.2 GHz Kryo 260 & 4×1.8 GHz Kryo 260) CPU with an Adreno 512 GPU. There’s 6GB of RAM powering the device with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.
Similarly, the Mi A2 is powered by the same Snapdragon 660 with an Adreno 512 GPU and you’ll find 128GB of internal storage with 6GB RAM or 4GB of RAM with either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage.
Again, the Realme 2 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 660 but this time paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, or 64GB of storage with 4GB or 6GB of RAM.
Realme 2 Pro vs Mi A2 vs Vivo V11: Camera
The Vivo V11 has a 12-megapixel f/1.8 lens paired with a 5-megapixel f/2.4 depth-sensor and a 25-megapixel f/2.0 front-facing camera.
In comparison, the Mi A2 has a dual camera array with a 12-megapixel f/1.8 lens paired with a 20-megapixel f/1.8 lens and a smaller 20-megapixel f/2.2 lens on the front.
You’ll get a single sensor on the Realme 2 Pro with a 16-megapixel f/1.7 lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, paired with a 16-megapixel f/2.0 front-facing camera.
Realme 2 Pro, Xiaomi Mi A2, Vivo V11: Battery Capacity
The Vivo V11 is powered by a 3400mAh battery, which will no doubt see you through a full day of medium to light use while the Xiaomi Mi A2 has a much smaller 3000mAh battery, which thanks to its smaller screen should be just as efficient. The Realme 2 Pro conversely has the largest battery capacity at 3500mAh.
Realme 2 Pro, Xiaomi Mi A2, Vivo V11: Price In India, Verdict
The Vivo V11 is available from Rs.20,990 while the Xiaomi Mi A2 starts at Rs.16,999 and the Realme 2 Pro starts at Rs.13,999.
There is enough price difference between the three differences for it to be a deciding factor when choosing which device to pick. The Vivo V11 is worth the extra money if you can spring for it but the Realme 2 Pro with its larger battery and RAM configuration will be an excellent choice and still save you money over the V11.
