Realme’s Tease of the World’s Fastest Smartphone Charging Technology Leaked to be a 200W Fast Charger

Realme might unveil the 200W charging technology at MWC 2022 which claims to be the world's fastest charging technology.

Realme earlier announced that it will be launching the world’s fastest charging technology on February 28 at MWC 2022. The brand has already confirmed that it will unveil its GT 2 series at the same event.

While Realme had not shared any details about the charging speeds that it would introduce, expectations were that it would be around 150W super fast charging. But according to a new report from Gizmochina Realme is expected to introduce a 200W fast charging adapter.

Realme 200W Charger Leaked

Earlier, it was reported that Realme will showcase the 150W charging technology at MWC 2022 which would have been based on Oppo’s 160W charging technology. But it looks like Realme will take it further.

The image leaked confirms that Realme is working on a charger with a 200W output. The brand has not confirmed anything about the charging speed yet. As we can see in the image, the Realme 200W charger is painted white and looks bulky.

The regulatory texts printed on the charging adaptor that reveals more details about the charger, its model number is VCK8HACH. The power ratings printed reveal that it can max at 200W output (20V-10A).

Further, the text confirms that it will support 45W USB PD (Power Delivery) charging. Xiaomi had previously announced its 200W charging tech that claimed to charge a 4000 mAh battery within 8 minutes. So, we can expect Realme to make a similar claim for their superfast charging technology as well. But it won’t be the world’s fastest charging technology as Xiaomi has already claimed the title.

Realme previously unveiled its 125W UltraDart fast charging tech that charged a 4000 mAh battery in under 20 minutes.

That said, we will have to wait for the brand to reveal the world’s fastest charging technology on February 28. The Realme GT 2 series is also set to launch on same day in Europe. Realme India’s chief Madhav Sheth confirmed that the GT 2 series will launch soon in India.
