Realme 3 Gets Lock Screen Magazine, Theme Store, May Security Patch with Latest Update

Realme 3

Realme has announced on its forum that the brand is rolling out a new OTA update to the Realme 3 smartphone. The update comes bearing the build number RMX1825EX_11_A.16, and the update is being rolled out all the Realme 3 users in India. If you haven’t got the update yet, just check for the update manually. You can also download the update and install it manually. Realme has posted download links and installation instructions on its forum.

Realme 3 software update (RMX1825EX_11_A.16)

The update brings with it the Android Security Patch for May, optimized display quality, updated default theme, updated default wallpaper, and Lock Screen Magazine. The update also brings three new application with it – Realme Theme Store, Realme App Market, and Realme Community App. The Realme Theme Store, as the name suggests, allows users to download new themes and customize the UI. The Realme App Market basically has a collection of third-party applications for you to download. And the Realme Community App allows users to interact with Realme users and keep themselves updated on new developments regarding Realme and its products.

Although the Realme Theme Store is a useful feature, I think the Realme App Market and Realme Community App were totally unneeded. These both applications, in my opinion, are no less than bloatware. The brand usually advertises that its Color OS is free of bloatware, but that doesn’t seem to be true anymore. All this bloatware not only requires more storage space, but it might also slow down the device. Anyway, here is a complete changelog of the update as posted by Realme.
