OPPO‘s sub-brand Realme recently launched the Realme 3 Pro smartphone in India. The company pitted it against Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 Pro. Launched in two variants with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage, the Realme 3 Pro managed to cater to all the segments. Now, according to a report by 91Mobiles, the company is working on another variant of the Realme 3 Pro featuring 8GB of RAM. The report attributes Realme CEO Madhav Sheth for the information.
Realme 3 Pro 8GB RAM Variant Price in India Could Be INR 18,999
The report states that the upcoming Realme 3 Pro 8GB RAM variant would launch in July 2019 priced around INR 18,000. Although Madhav Sheth has not specified the internal storage during the conversation, one can expect the variant to boast 128GB of internal storage. The current top-end variant of the Realme 3 Pro packs 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which means that the 8GB RAM variant may come with an additional price of INR 2,000 totaling up to INR 18,999. It seems plausible as the price difference between Realme 2 Pro 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM variants is also INR 2,000.
Realme 3 Pro 8GB Variant With Same Specs As Other Variants, Battle With Redmi Note 7 Pro
Other than the difference in RAM capacity, the new variant would be identical to the other Realme 3 Pro variants. It will come with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ display at 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution paired with a waterdrop notch housing the front camera. The phone would ship with Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.0. According to the recent development, the phone should also feature a dedicated Realme Theme Store.
Concerning optics, the phone will have a 16MP+5MP dual camera setup on the rear with Ultra HD mode for capturing 64MP pictures. On the front, the phone will have a 25MP selfie camera. A 4,045mAh battery will complete the device with support for VOOC 3.0 fast-charging technology.
As we mentioned in the beginning, the Realme 3 Pro has been positioned as Redmi Note 7 Pro rival in the market. Realme has always taken up its battle with Xiaomi phones and this time around it is giving fierce competition with the Realme 3 Pro. With Xiaomi still following the flash sale model, many disappointed potential Redmi Note 7 Pro (review) buyers could shift to Realme 3 Pro. It’s only a matter of time until we get shipment reports for the Realme 3 Pro to gauge how successfully it has competed.
