Realme has been pretty active when it comes to rolling out new updates to its devices. The company rolled out the much-awaited dark mode to the Realme 3 Pro devices last month and now, it has pushed yet another update that lets you enable the same from the notification center. This will actually come in handy (how? we’ll talk about it further down the story). Let’s have a look at what all the latest update for the Realme 3 Pro brings on the table.
Realme 3 Pro gets a dark mode toggle in the notification center, plus some more new features with the latest update
The latest official OTA update for the Realme 3 Pro comes with the build number RMX1851EX_11_A.21 and, as said, brings the ability to toggle the dark mode right from the notification center. Now, getting back as to how this is actually useful, before the update, users had to go through the hassle of navigating to the Settings > realme Lab menu in order to enable/disable the dark mode. This used to take quite some time if not much. It, however, won’t be the case after updating the Realme 3 Pro with the latest update and users will be able to do the same on the go.
Furthermore, the latest update bumps up the Android security patch to December 2019 and comes with the volume bar bug fix. Below is the official changelog of the latest Realme 3 Pro official OTA update:
Realme 3 Pro latest update: official changelog
- Android security patch: December 2019
- Added click the blank area to back to the launcher on recent task interface
Notification Center and Status Bar
- Added fast switch toggles of dark mode in the notification center
- Added flash on call feature
Known issue fixed
- Fixed the issue of the volume bar blocked by the camera while in the horizontal orientation
The update is being rolled out in stages, so it might take a little while to reach your device (if, of course, it has not already). This is the usual case with all the updates that are being rolled out as of late. The update will be rolled out to select devices initially and after confirming that there are no bugs, we can expect a widespread rollout.
In case you want to check out whether your device has received the update or not, all you need to do is to hit the settings menu, go to the Check for Updates section, and if the update has already arrived, you can update your Realme 3 Pro from there. Make sure that you have backed up your important data before updating your device as it is always a good practice to do so.
In case you are unaware, the Realme 3 Pro features a 6.3 inches (16 cm) FHD+ display with a 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset and comes with a 4045 mAh battery which has support for VOOC Flash Charge 3.0.
