The Realme 3 (Review) was launched in India earlier today, at an event in New Delhi, with a killer price tag. The Realme 3 comes with an attractive design, the decently powerful Helio P70 processor, a 6.2-inch screen, a 13MP+2MP dual-camera setup at the rear (with Chroma Boost and Nightscape modes), a 13MP selfie camera, fingerprint reader, and a 4230mAh battery with 10W charging. The phone also features a dual-SIM card slot, 4G LTE, microUSB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone will compete with the Redmi Note 7 and the Zenfone Max Pro M1.
Along with the Realme 3, the company also teased the Realme 3 Pro, which is expected to compete with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro, which was launched last week. Although Realme didn’t reveal specifications or pricing of the Realme 3 Pro, it did reveal the Realme 3’s pricing, sale date, and launch offers.

Realme 3 Top Features
We have reviewed the Realme 3 and found it to be an all-around upgrade over the Realme 1. It has a good-looking design, and it looks especially better in its Dynamic Black color variant. The front of the device has a 6.2-inch IPS LCD screen with HD+ resolution and a waterdrop-shaped notch. Although the screen isn’t as sharp as a Full HD resolution screen, the Realme 3’s display has its own advantage: offering better gaming performance.
Realme 3’s camera is one of its strongest points. The 13MP+2MP dual-rear-facing camera setup features phase-detection autofocus and 1080p video recording. However, its biggest improvements come from two new features: Chroma Boost and Nightscape Mode. The Chroma Boost feature adds more pop to the color and improves the dynamic range as well. This is for one of those situations where you would like the photo look more pleasing. The Nightscape Mode, which is similar to the Pixel’s Night Sight mode, uses AI and multi-frame stacking to add more light, better colors, and details to images.
The Realme 3 features a MediaTek Helio P70 processor, which performs admirably in real-world usage. Moreover, the Game Space feature would appeal to mobile gamers as it can lock the screen’s brightness and stops pestering notifications. The gaming mode also forces the phone to allocate enough resources to the game so that it doesn’t stop mid-way. Network latency is reduced, too, and it becomes easier to capture screenshots and game videos. On top of this, the company’s ColorOS 6.0 now looks much cleaner and fresher. It now has a dedicated app drawer, better iconography, and better performance.
The Realme 3 comes packed with a 4230mAh battery, and it lasts really long. In our usage scenario, the Realme 3 was able to last for up to 7 hours of screen-on time, and that’s with hours of gaming and heavy usage. The battery can get charged at 10W.
