Realme 5 Variants, Price in India, Offers

The Realme 5 is available in India in three memory configurations. The most affordable version of Realme 5 has 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, and it costs INR 9,999. The second variant comes with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and has a price tag of INR 10,999. The top of the line variant has 4GB RAM + 128GB storage. This one will set you back INR 11,999.

As a launch offer, Realme is offering Flipkart’s Complete Mobile Protection plan for INR 99. However, this offer is available only on Flipkart. Furthermore, Realme is offering INR 7,000 worth benefits from Jio on the purchase of Realme 5.

Realme 5 Specifications

The Realme 5 features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD. Disappointing, the display has only HD+ resolution, which might lead to a pixelated viewing experience. On the other hand, Realme 5’s direct competitor, the Redmi Note 7 offers a Full HD+ screen. That being said, the display at least has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Powering the Realme 5 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC, making it one of the most powerful smartphones in the segment. The Snapdragon 665 is slightly more powerful than the Snapdragon 660 that is in Redmi Note 7. On the software side of things, the Realme 5 runs on Android 9 Pie OS with ColorOS 6 customization. The device comes with a 4000mAh battery that supports 10W charging.

The Realme 5 features a quad-camera setup at the rear consisting of a 12MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and two 2MP sensors for aid in portrait photos. The rear camera setup has Night Mode, which, according to Realme, aids in producing brighter pictures in lowlight conditions. At the front, there is a 13MP selfie camera.

Connectivity options in the Realme 5 include dual-SIM with dual-4G and dual-VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microUSB port. I wish the Realme 5 has a USB Type-C port instead of microUSB port. Anyway, in terms of security, the device has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a face unlock option.
