Realme lost its Realme 6 lineup of smartphones earlier this month. The company has already started selling both Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro smartphones in the country as both of them went on their first sale a little while ago. For those who have been able to get their hands on the vanilla Realme 6 handset, it’s some good news. Realme has pushed the first software update for the Realme 6 devices in India. The update is currently being rolled out to all Realme 6 devices Over-the-Air. Take a look at the full details of the latest Realme 6 update and see what it has in store for us.

Realme 6 Latest Update: Here’s What’s in Store

The latest Realme 6 update bears the build number RMX2001_11_A.11. The update takes the Android security patch on the Realme 6 to March 5, 2020. The biggest feature that the new update for Realme 6 has brought about is the addition of night mode and 120FPS slow-motion recording to the front camera of the device. Furthermore, the latest update fixes the bud that enabled Google Assistant with swipe-up gestures.

As mentioned earlier, the latest update for the Realme 6 device is being rolled out as an OTA update, so there is a high chance that you might have received a notification regarding the same. If you have not, you can head to your device settings and check for the Software Update menu out there. Tapping the Check for Updates button will likely bring the latest update up so you will be able to download it. As far as the specifications of the device are concerned, Realme 6 sports a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a 2,400 x 1,080 pixel resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The Realme 6 comes with a single punch-hole selfie snapper, located in the top left corner. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner available with the Realme 6. Under the hood, the Realme 6 is powered by a 2.05GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G90T chipset, which is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The internal storage has scope for further expansion with the help of an external SD card, by the way.

A 4,300mAh battery keeps the lights of the Realme 6 on. The battery of the device has provision for up to 30W of fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port. On the software side of things, the Realme 6 ships with the latest Android 10 OS out of the box, with the company’s in-house Realme UI skin baked on top of it.

Moving on to the cameras of the device, the Realme 6 flaunts a quadruple rear camera setup – a 64MP Samsung GW1 wide-angle camera (f/1.8) + an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens (f/2.3) + a 2MP B&W portrait lens (f/2.4) + a 2MP macro camera (f/2.4). At the front, the device sports a 16MP selfie shooter, which has f/2.0 aperture.

As far as the price of the device is concerned, the Realme 6 is priced at Rs 12,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant, Rs 14,999 for the 6GB/128GB variant and Rs 15,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant.
