After launching the Realme X50 Pro 5G smartphone in India, Realme is gearing up for the launch of its brand new Realme 6 series of smartphones. The Realme 6 and Realme 6 smartphones will launch on March 5, 2020 in India. In addition to these smartphones, Realme will launch its first-ever fitness band, dubbed the Realme Band, during the same launch event. Ahead of the launch, the product pages for both the Realme 6 series smartphones and the Realme Band have gone live. As it turns out, the Chinese tech company will sell the Realme 6 series via the Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart, while the Realme Band will sell via Amazon India. Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro: Everything We Know So Far
Both the devices, the Realme 6 and the Realme 6 Pro, will come with a 90Hz refresh rate display. While the Realme 6 handset will come with a single punch-hole display, its pro counterpart will make room for two cameras at the front. The punch-hole setup for both devices will be located in the top left corner of the display. The display panel, by the way, will come with a Full HD+ resolution for both devices.
Moving around on the rear of the devices, both Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro will flaunt a quad rear camera setup. While it is unclear as to whether the vanilla Realme 6 will come with this feature or not, the Realme 6 Pro is confirmed to have 20X zooming capability. Speaking of the four cameras, they will comprise of a 64MP primary lens, an ultra-wide lens (resolution unknown so far), a telephoto lens (resolution unknown so far), and an ultra macro lens (resolution unknown so far).
Judging by the promotional posters, the Realme 6 series appears to come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, leading many to believe that it will come with an IPS LCD panel. This, however, is not confirmed as of now, so our readers must take it with a slight grain of salt for now.
Moving on to the battery, both Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro will come with a 30W Flash Charge support. The battery capacity is anyone’s guess for now. Under the hood, the Realme 6 is being speculated to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G90 processor, while the Realme 6 Pro is likely to sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset.
While there is no word on the price tags the Realme 6 series of smartphones are going to come with, Realme has introduced a Blind order for the series. As part of the offer, the interested buyers can pay Rs 1,000 between February 26 and March 4, 2020 and ensure that they will be able to buy either of the devices after the launch. If one orders the Realme 6 during the blind order offer, the company will send a pair of Realme Buds 2, while the Realme 6 Pro comes with a Rs 1,000 discount coupon for the Realme Buds Wireless.
Realme Band: Everything We Know So Far
First up, Realme has introduced a hate-to-wait sale for the Realme Band. Interested buyers can order the band on the launch day itself so that they, well, don’t have to wait. Now, let’s talk about the Realme Band and what we know about it. For starters, the Realme Band will feature a color display. It will be available in three color options – Yellow, Black, and Olive Green. The Realme band will come equipped with a real-time heart rate monitor. Plus, the Realme Band will comprise of 9 sport modes – bike, run, walk, hiking, climbing, Yoga, fitness, Spinning, and Cricket mode. Just like any other fitness tracker available on the market, the Realme Band will also help you stay notified of the alerts that you receive on the smartphone that you have paired with it.
