Realme has finally teased the Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro smartphones launch in India. The company’s CEO Madhav Sheth tweeted that it’s “busy making two new smartphones”, along with #BuildingFaster7 via his official account on Twitter. This suggests that the Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro launch is just around the corner. The tweet also includes an image of Madhav Sheth holding a phone, which if you look closely seem to have a green hue. While the Realme 7 series official launch date hasn’t been revealed yet, renowned and often reliable tipster Mukul Sharma claims that it’s September 3rd. The handsets are expected to be the successor to Realme 6 series from earlier this year and could come with a price tag that falls in between Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000.

The Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro design and specifications remain vague at the moment. However, the handsets have made a stopover to a handful of certification sites, revealing a few details in the process. The Pro model has been spotted on BIS, Wi-Fi Alliance, Indonesia Telecom, EEC, and Indonesia TKDN certifications. The latest NBTC listing suggests that the Realme 7 Pro will reportedly pack a 4,500 mAh battery and 65W fast charging tech. This might be the fastest charging on a sub-Rs 20,000 phones. Additionally, the handset is tipped to come with 4G connectivity that means it won’t be having 5G-enabled chipsets. That’s all the information we can divulge at the moment!

In related news, Realme is also gearing up to launch new X-series phones, called Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro, in China. The handsets will be unveiled in the country on September 1st. They are tipped to be premium mid-range 5G phones with 120Hz AMOLED display and 64MP quad cameras. Other key specifications include a 32MP selfie snapper, 4,500mAh battery, and 65W charging. Rumours are rife that the company is also working on Realme X7 Ultra smartphone, which could be powered by Snapdragon 865+ SoC and ship with 125W fast-charging.

  1. The Realme 7 series is expected to be powered by the Helio G90T, so the lack of 5G aspect should be balanced properly in this aspect.
