Realme launched the Realme 8 and the Realme 8 Pro smartphones in India a few days back. However, the company didn’t unveil any 5G versions of these handsets. In a piece of related news, we already saw the Realme 8 5G getting BIS and NBTC certification a few days ago. Realme CEO even confirmed that Realme will be bringing in Realme 8 5G to the Indian market, without revealing any possible launch date. Now, in the recent development, the Realme 8 5G (RMX3241) has gained the FCC certification, which does imply us that its launch is around the corner. Realme 8 5G Gets FCC Certified

The Realme 8 5G that has got certified by FCC carries the model number RMX3241. This is the same model which had got the prior BIS certification. The Realme 8 5G moniker was even confirmed by NBTC a few days ago. If we go by the FCC documents, we can see that the phone will pack a 5000mAh battery. The device will run Android 11 out of the box with Realme UI 2.0. The phone will measure at around 162.5x 74.8×8.5mm, and weigh at around 185 grams, as per details revealed by FCC. If we go through the phone’s schematics, we can see that the device will have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

In terms of connectivity, the device will offer 2.4GHz Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS/GLONASS, NFC, and 5G support. And that’s all the details we can grab from the FCC listing currently. As far as the other information of the Realme 8 5G goes, such as its display size, processor details, and camera configurations, these details remain unknown to us. Realme CEO Madhav Sheth already had confirmed that the company will be bringing in Realme 8 5G and the Realme 8i to India soon. However, no specific timeframe regarding the launch of these handsets was revealed. Now that the Realme 8 5G has gained the required FCC certification, we can expect the company to soon unveil this model.
