Realme recently launched the Realme 8 series. The two mid-range smartphones came with 4G network support. The company, at the launch, had confirmed that it will introduce a 5G variant very soon. As per leaked information, the Realme 8 5G will launch in India on April 22. Ahead of the launch, the smartphone’s promote video has leaked online. Tipster Mukul Sharma has shared a 10-second video that reveals the design of the upcoming Realme smartphone in India. The design is fairly similar to the 4G variant. The 10-second video shared by tipster Mukul Sharma, aka Stufflistings, has revealed the design of the Realme phone. The design is similar to the 4G model with the square-shaped camera module on the back. However, the glossy rear panel of the black colour variant does not have the massive Dare to Leap branding on the back.
The 5G variants are expected to feature the same specs are the 4G models but feature compatible processor and modem for the next-generation network.
The Realme 8 5G was spotted on Geekbench earlier today with the model number RMX3241. As per the listing, the phone will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G SoC and have 8GB of RAM. It will boot on Android 11 out of the box. We can expect it to feature Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android. The device will also pack a 5000 mAh battery, as per the details leaked via the FCC listing. It has already received the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification, hinting at an imminent launch.
