Realme is gearing up for the Realme 8 series launch event. The company will launch the standard Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro at the launch event on March 24. The 8 Pro is confirmed to get a 108MP quad-camera setup. Ahead of the launch, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has teased some more features of the 8 Pro. The latest teaser reveals how the Realme 8 Pro’s 108MP will shoot to increase the image clarity. The 108MP camera will shoot eight 12MP photos at a time. Realme will launch the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro on March 24. Ahead of the launch, the company’s CEO has revealed some key features of the 108MP camera sensor.
Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has dropped a new video teaser that explains how the 108MP on the Realme 8 Pro works. The sensor will click eight 12MP photos at a time. The images will be processed and stitched to increase image clarity. It is possible using the in-sensor zoom feature. Although still digital zoom, Realme claims that it will be faster than usual. The in-sensor 3x zoom is claimed to produce sharper results than optical telephoto lenses.
The 8 Pro camera is also confirmed to feature Tilt-shift video and starry mode that were teased at the Realme Camera Innovation Event.
Realme 8 Pro specifications
As mentioned, the Realme 8 Pro will come with a 108MP quad-camera setup. It is rumoured to come with a Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz or a 120Hz refresh rate display. Realme is also tipped to launch the 8 Pro with 5G support. The 4G variant of the 8 Pro could feature a Snapdragon 720G SoC. It is also expected that the 5G variant might also come with a MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor which was also found on the Realme X7 5G and Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G.
The 8 Pro is expected to pack a 4,500mAh battery with 50W fast charging support, and come with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB native storage. The Realme 8 and 8 Pro are already available for pre-orders until March 22.
