Realme has announced Realme UI 3.0 early access program for Realme 8 Pro users. With this program, the company is looking for users who are ready to test the latest Android 12 on their Realme 8 Pro devices and give them valuable feedback, which will help the brand push the stable version to more users soon. A couple of days ago, Realme opened Realme UI 3.0 early access to the Realme GT Neo 2 Users. If you are a Realme 8 Pro user and you are interested in trying out the newest version of Android on your phone, here is how you can apply for the same.

The applications for the early access program starts on December 17 and Realme says only limited seats are available and users will be accepted in batches. Here is how you can apply and try out the Android 12 / Realme UI 3.0 on Realme 8 Pro device:

  1. Charge the phone and make sure it has 60%+ battery.
  2. Make sure the device is running on the latest stable version of Realme UI – RMX3081_11.C.09.
  3. Go to Settings → Software Update.
  4. Tap on the settings icon in the top right corner.
  5. Tap on Trial Version → Apply Now → Submit your details and finish the quiz.

Once you have submitted the applications, you will be eligible to get the update. However, since there are only limited slots available, not all applicants will be getting the Realme UI 3.0 update.

Since this is a trial version of Android, there is always a risk involved and Realme has confirmed some apps might not be optimized well for Android 12 and they might crash and also the early access versions may have an unpredictable impact on your phone and effect on daily use. In case you want to opt out of Realme UI 3.0 and come back to the Realme UI 2.0 version based on Android 11, you can rollback. However, this process will erase all your personal data.
