The device seems to have an optical in-display fingerprint scanner.

Realme, earlier this week, launched the first handset under its Realme 9 series – Realme 9i. The company is expected to launch three more handsets under the Realme 9 lineup – the vanilla Realme 9, Realme 9 Pro, and Realme 9 Pro+.

In a new leak, OnLeaks, in collaboration with Smartprix has revealed the design sketches of the upcoming Realme 9 Pro series handset. The sketches also reveal that the handset will come with a 6.43-inch display. Let us take a closer look at Realme 9 Pro series device sketches,

Realme 9 Pro Series Design!

The report doesn’t reveal the device moniker specifically but says that it is a Realme 9 Pro series device. So, this could either be the Realme 9 Pro, or the Realme 9 Pro+. The leaked sketches reveal that the Realme 9 Pro series handset will come with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display. The display panel will house the front selfie shooter inside a punch hole notch on the top left corner. We can expect it to come with a Full HD+ resolution.

On the back, is a triple-rear camera setup along with an LED flash. The camera module design looks similar to that of the Realme GT 2 Pro which was announced recently in China. The sketches also confirm that the handset will make use of a Sony sensor as its main shooter.

The left edge of the handset will accommodate the volume rockers whereas, the right edge will house the power button. The power button doesn’t seem to have an embedded fingerprint sensor in it. This means we are looking at an optical in-display fingerprint scanner. To recall, Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro also came with an AMOLED display and optical in-display fingerprint scanner.

The Realme 9 Pro 5G has already cleared NBTC, TKDN, and EEC certifications. On the other hand, the Realme 9 Pro+ has also cleared the Bluetooth SIG certification. The Realme 9 Pro+ was also spotted on the FV-5 database, which confirmed that the device will offer a 50MP primary rear sensor and a 16MP front shooter. The handset is said to launch sometime in February 2022.
