Ahead of the official confirmation, MySmartPrice has learned that the Realme mid-range smartphones will launch in India on February 16. Our industry sources tell us that the launch event will be hosted a day after the European launch, which is rumoured to take place on February 15. Realme is expected to confirm the Realme 9 series India launch date in the coming days. Meanwhile, here is everything you need to know about the upcoming Realme smartphones.
Realme 9 Pro series specifications
Realme 9 Pro series debuting on February 16 in India will come with a triple-camera setup on the back. However, the camera sensors on the two smartphones will be different. According to the leaks, the 9 Pro will have a 64MP primary camera sensor along with an ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro unit. The Pro+ model will feature a 50MP Sony camera sensor and an 8MP ultrawide camera along with a 2MP sensor.
Both phones will come with a 16MP front camera. Realme has already confirmed that the Pro+ model will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC under the hood. The 9 Pro, on the other hand, is said to come with a Snapdragon 695 5G processor.
At the front, the 9 Pro+ will be more compact with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display. It will have a Full HD+ display and a 90Hz refresh rate. The 9 Pro will have a taller 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate support.
The 9 Pro will also get a bigger 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Realme will pack a 4500 mAh battery on the Pro+ model, which will offer 65W fast charging support. The two Realme smartphones will run Android 12 out of the box with a layer of Realme UI 3.0 on top.
