Realme 9i 5G Confirmed to Go on Sale Via Flipkart Ahead of August 18 Launch

Realme has confirmed the launch of a new 5G smartphone in India. The company will launch the Realme 9i 5G as its new budget 5G smartphone later this month. The 9i 5G will launch in India on August 18. The budget smartphone will debut with a new MediaTek SoC under the hood. Realme has also confirmed some key specifications and features on the 9i 5G.

The latest teaser confirms that the 9i 5G will be available for purchase via Flipkart. Realme has also revealed some details about the device’s hardware. Let’s take a look at the Realme 9i 5G specifications, features and other details known so far.

Realme 9i 5G Flipkart Listing Reveals Key Details 

Realme 9i 5G will compete against the likes of the Poco M4 Pro 5G, Vivo T1 5G and other smartphones priced at around Rs 15,000. The phone is now confirmed to go on sale via Flipkart following its launch in India. Realme has already confirmed that its new 5G phone will launch with a Dimensity 810 SoC. The 6nm chip is said to offer an AnTuTu score of over 3,50,000.

The microsite further reveals that the 9i 5G will have a laser light design with a 3-layer grain process. The beige colour of the device has been teased on Flipkart, which shows a tiny shimmery texture on the back.

The device will sport a triple-camera setup on the back. Realme has not confirmed any camera specs at the moment. A report by Appuals revealed that the phone will sport a 50MP main camera and two 2MP sensors. 

For selfies, there will be an 8MP front camera inside the waterdrop notch. The 9i 5G will have a 6.6-inch 90Hz LCD, according to the report. It will also feature a 5000mAh battery and offer 18W fast charging support out of the box. Lastly, the device will run Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 out of the box.
