Realme has always been adamant about serving its users, both new and old alike. The company held the first sale of its latest Realme 3 Pro earlier today. Just a few days ago, it announced that the Realme 3 will be up for grabs in open sale. Both these phones come with the latest ColorOS 6 software that is based on Android 9.0 Pie. Realme had previously made known its intentions of bringing this update to all of its older phones, and now we have more solid confirmation about the update’s rollout.

Realme CEO Madhav Sheth sent out a tweet recently announcing the exact timeline for the release of Android pie-based ColorOS 6 for all the phones the brand has launched thus far. Beta update for the software will start rolling out next month, with final OTA updates to follow soon after.

Realme Smartphones Android 9.0 Pie Update Rollout Schedule

The software update rollout starts off with the Realme 2 Pro. Beta version of the Android 9.0 Pie software will arrive on the phone on 15th May. The phone will also be getting HAL3 (Hardware Abstraction Layer) support which allows Google Camera ports to be sideloaded onto the handset.

Next, we have the Realme 1 and Realme U1, both of which shall receive ColorOS 6 beta on 5th June. Realme 2 and Realme C1 are next, and they will receive the software update on 15th June.

All of these smartphones shall receive stable OTA updates within 15 to 20 days after their respective beta releases. The OTA rollout will be in a phased manner, so just be patient if you don’t see an update notification right away.

Realme 3 Pro’s Hyper Boost To Arrive on Realme 2 Pro, Realme 1, U1

With the release of the new software update on these phones, the Realme 2 Pro, Realme 1 and Realme U1, in particular, shall also receive support for the brand’s Hyper Boost technology which is currently present on the Realme 3 Pro. With this feature, the older phones will review a bump in gaming performance. Specifically, features such as Touch Boost and Frame Boost will come in handy for better touch response and higher frame rates. Sheth noted that that the decision to bring Hyper Boost to the Realme 2 and Realme C1 is currently under consideration.
