Sticking to its vision of becoming a tech-lifestyle brand, Realme has launched its first-ever fitness band today, alongside Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro handsets. The brand has dubbed its fitness band the Realme Band and it comes with a budget-friendly price tag. The Realme Band comes with a 0.96-inch color display, up to 10-days of claimed battery life, and three color variants. Take a look at the price, availability, specifications and features of the Realme Band.
Realme Band: Price and Availability
The Realme Band comes with an attractive price tag of Rs 1,499, which roughly translates to somewhere around $21. The band already went on a “hate to wait sale” earlier today (between 2 PM and 4 PM IST) and will release in the market on March 9, 2020. If you are interested in buying the Realme Band, you can do the same by going to Amazon India or Realme’s own e-store. The Realme Band is available in three color options – Black, Olive Green, and Yellow.
Realme Band: Specifications and Features
The Realme Band sports a 0.96-inch color display, which gives out a resolution of 80 x 160 pixels. The band comes with a touch-enabled button that can be used to navigate across its interface. One can use the Realme Band to display text notifications from apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter. Of course, SMS notifications will also arrive on the Realme Band. Initially, Realme has introduced up to 5 watch faces for the Realme Band, but more will be added in the future with subsequent software updates. The glass protecting the Realme Band extends all the way up to the TPU wrist band. The wrist band, by the way, is IP68 water resistant, so you can keep wearing the Realme Band while taking a shower.
Coming to the battery of the band, the Realme Band features a 90mAh battery, which, as claimed by the company, can last up to 10 days on a single charge (with heart rate tracking mode being enabled). Once it runs out of juice, it can be fully recharged within 1 hour and 47 minutes. To charge the Realme Band, you don’t have to worry too much about proprietary chargers as the Realme Band features an in-house USB Type-A plug, which allows you to plug it in without going through the hassle of cables and adapters.
On top of heart rate tracking, the Realme Band also supports sleep tracking and has a step counter. It will also remind you to drink water and ask you to stay active. There is a sedentary reminder to ensure that you, well, don’t keep sitting idle.
The Realme Band comes with nine sports modes. However, only up to three of the nine modes can be selected at one time. Speaking of the modes, the Realme Band flaunts walking, hiking, climbing, cycling, spinning, fitness, and cricket.
