Realme Book Slim to Include a Cheaper Core i3 Variant, Sport a ThunderBolt 4 Port

Less than a week ahead of the launch, Realme has confirmed more details of its new laptop.

Realme has confirmed the launch of its first laptop in India. The Realme Book (Slim) will launch on August 18 in India. It will launch alongside the company’s flagship smartphone offering, the Realme GT series. Ahead of the launch, Realme has started teasing some of the key specs and features of its upcoming laptop in India. The laptop is confirmed to come with an Intel 11th-generation Core i5 chip. It will boot Windows 10 and is eligible for a free Windows 11 upgrade. Less than a week ahead of the launch, Realme has confirmed more details of its new laptop.

Realme Book Slim to feature Thunderbolt 4 port

Realme Book Slim will debut in India on August 18. The company has confirmed that its first laptop will come with Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C ports. The laptop is expected to launch under Rs 50,000 in India. It could well be among the few laptops in the price range to feature Thunderbolt 4 ports. For the uninitiated, Thunderbolt 4 ports can handle data transfers up to 40Gbps and fast charging up to 100W. It also supports output up to two 4K displays or one 8K screen.


It will also come with a USB Type-C Gen 3.2 gen 2 port, a USB-A 3.1 port and a 3.5mm jack. The teaser poster reveals that only the i5 variant will come with a Thunderbolt 4 port. The i3 variant could feature two USB Type-C Gen 3.2 ports instead.

The company has also confirmed that the laptop will come with up to a 16GB + 512GB storage configuration and weigh 1.38 kg. Realme Book will sport a 14-inch LED display. It is confirmed to come with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a 2K resolution. 

The speakers will be tuned by Harmon Kardon. According to a 3C listing, the Realme laptop will support 65W charging. As per the leaked details, the laptop’s base model is expected to launch in India under Rs 40,000.
