Realme has finally launched the Realme C3 smartphone in India. The price point the device is being offered at puts it right into the completion with the likes of smartphones like the Redmi 8 and the Nokia 4.2. Starting off with the Realme C3 smartphone, the company has launched two memory variants of the device in India – one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and the other one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Both the variants have scope for storage expansion via an external SD card. The former is priced at Rs. 6,999 in India, while the latter would cost you Rs. 7,999. Coming to the Redmi 8, the 4GB/64GB RAM variant of the device is priced at Rs. 7,999. Lastly, the Nokia 4.2 is available in a 3GB/32GB memory configuration, and the same would cost you Rs. 6,718 in India.

Coming to the display of the devices, all the three devices that we are comparing feature IPS LCD displays. The Realme C3 smartphone features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. There is a waterdrop notch at the top of the device. The Redmi 8, on the other hand, features a 6.22-inch display with a 720 x 1520 pixels resolution. Lastly, the Nokia 4.2 sports a 5.71-inch display with a 720 x 1520 pixels resolution. All the three smartphones feature almost comparable displays, but the Nokia 4.2 has the smallest display amongst the three, so we should keep this in mind.

When it comes to performance, the Realme C3 is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G70 chipset, which is coupled with a Mali-G52 GPU. The Redmi 8 and the Nokia 4.2, on the other hand, run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 platform and an Adreno 505 GPU. On paper, the Realme C3 should do a better job at multi-tasking owing to the budget gaming-centric processor it comes powered with.

For software, the Realme C3 runs on Android 10 out of the box with the company’s in-house Realme UI baked on top of it. The Redmi 8 still runs on the dated Android 9 Pie out of the box with Xiaomi’s MIUI skin. Lastly, the Nokia 4.2 runs on Android 9 Pie OS. If you need the purest form of Android, the Nokia 4.2 smartphone is the one to go for.

The Realme C3 smartphone features a dual rear camera setup – 12MP + 2MP and a 5MP selfie shooter at the front. The Redmi 8 also features a similar 12MP + 2MP rear camera setup, but its front camera is 8MP. Lastly, the Nokia 4.2 smartphone comes with a 13MP + 2MP rear camera setup and an 8MP selfie snapper.
