
Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition has been launched in China today as the latest device in the Realme GT 2 series. The GT 2 Master Explorer Edition is the third device in the series after the vanilla Realme GT 2 and the Realme GT 2 Pro 一 both of which are available in India. The newly launched device is the successor to the Realme GT Master Explorer Edition from last year.
Unlike the last-gen device, the GT 2 Master Explorer Edition is expected to launch in India this time around. The GT 2 Master Explorer Edition is the world’s first phone with LPDDR5X RAM and it comes with a unique design, which Realme calls “Hard case legendary design.” The phone comes with corner protection (similar to a bumper case), metal rivets, a metal middle frame and a glass design. Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition: Price and Availability
The GT 2 Master Explorer Edition starts at CNY 3499 (approx. Rs 41,400) for the 8GB+128GB model, the 8GB+256GB model costs CNY 3799 (approx. Rs 45,000) and the top of the line 12GB+256GB model costs CNY 3999 (approx. Rs 47,300). The device is now up for pre-order in China and will be available for purchase starting next week. It comes in Black, White, and Gold colour options.
Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition: Specifications and Features
The GT 2 Master Explorer Edition sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also supports HDR10+. The handset also comes with X7 independent display chip. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The device comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, making it the world’s first phone to feature the same and you get up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
In the camera department, the GT 2 Master Explorer Edition sports a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP (IMX766) primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and 40x microscope lens. It comes with a 16MP selfie camera on the front. Further, the GT 2 Master Explorer Edition draws power from a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 100W fast charging speed. This is also Realme’s first phone to come with a GaN charger. GaN stands for Gallium Nitride and it reduces heat by up to 85%. With the new GaN charger, the device will charge to 100% in 25 minutes.
Other features of the device include an under-screen optical fingerprint scanner, dual VC flagship cooling system, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, 4G LTE, 5G, NFC, dual speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, USB Type-C port, Android 12 OS, 195 grams, and 8.17mm thick.
